Basic History
The Monte Cristo Homestead was built in 1884 by Christopher William Crawley on the hill overlooking Junee. Mr Crawley died in the house at age 69 in 1910. His wife Elizabeth also died in the house in 1933 (age 92), some 23yrs later.
The current owners, Reg and Olive Ryan bought the severely run down and vandalised property in 1963 and has restored the property to its former glory.
100’s of Ghost hunters have visited the property to conduct investigations capturing many strange occurrences from apparitions through to bumps in the night.

- Original owner and his wife have been seen.
- Faces appearing in the windows on the second floor
- Feeling of not being able to move freely when on the stairs.
- Strange noises.

Basic History
The Willard Library opened its doors on March 28 1885 after 9 years of construction. The library was founded by Willard Carpenter who sadly died just 16 months prior to its opening at the age of 80. The library is still in operation more than 110 years later and several renovations.
The first sighting of the Grey Lady was made by the janitor in 1937 in the basement at approximately 3am.. he resigned from the job several days later.

- Sightings of a Grey apparition called ‘The Grey Lady’..
- Water being turned on and off.
- Books and furniture being moved.
- Strange noises.
- Smell of Perfume.

Basic History
The Waverly Hills Sanatorium was first opened on July 26, 1910. This original building was only designed to safely accommodate 40-50 tuberculosis patients. The brick counterpart was designed to hold some 400 patients opened on October 17, 1926 and was in operation until 1961. After antibiotics were invented, the Waverly Hills Sanatorium was uses a geriatric facility from 1962 – 1980 when it was closed by the state.
One of the most talked about and famous aspects of the Waverly Hills Sanatorium is the 500ft long Body Chute which was used at the peak of the TB epidemic to transport the deceased down the hill to the waiting hearses.
Many people died during the TB epidemic and its rumoured that 1000’s of ghosts roam the complex from children through to adults and even some animals such as dogs.
Reported Occurrences
- Many apparitions.
- Children can be heard playing in the Hallways.
- Doors opening and closing.
- Pregnant women are said to feel ill in some parts of the Sanatorium, mainly around room 502.

Basic History
The Stanley Hotel in Colorado was built in the early 1900’s and made famous by being the hotel that Stephen King wrote ‘The Shining’ in. Many famous people have stayed here over the years and the hotel is still in operation.
Visitors to the hotel report many strange happening from unoccupied rooms especially on the 4th floor which used to be the servants quarters.
Reported Occurrences
- Original owner and his wife: F.O. and Flora Stanley have been seen.
- Children can be heard playing in the Hallways.
- The piano has been seen to be playing by itself.
- Strange noises in many unoccupied rooms.

Basic History
The Queen Mary was launched on 26 September 1934 and in service for decades as both a World War II transport ship and a luxury liner until she was retired on 1 December 1967.
During her service she had 49 deaths onboard and also had to abandon 300 people in the water after a collision with the Destroyer HMS Curacoa during world war II.
The Queen Mary is reported to be one of the most haunted places in the world.
Reported Occurrences
- It is also said that men screaming and the sound of metal crushing against metal can be heard below decks, believed to be when the collision occurred with the Destoyer.
- A young seaman was crushed to death by a watertight door in engine bay 13 during a fire drill.
- A murdered little girl is often sighted in the first class pool room and she appears to leave wet footprints where she was sighted.
- A cook was reportedly cooked in an oven for the bad food he served as a lesson.. His screams can be heard coming from the galley.
